- Account Information: Email address and name when you create an account or sign in with Apple.
- Business Data: Load manifests, product records, pricing data, and inventory information you create within the app.
- Photos: Images of appliance labels and stickers you capture for product identification. Images are processed and not permanently stored.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for diagnostics and support.
- Usage Data: Features used, session activity, and error logs to improve the app experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and operate the LoadScan service, including manifest creation and inventory tracking.
- Process appliance label images through AI to identify product model numbers, names, and pricing.
- Authenticate your identity and maintain secure access to your account.
- Sync your data across devices and team members within your organization.
- Send transactional emails such as account verification, password resets, and security notifications.
- Improve the app through anonymized usage analytics and error diagnostics.
- Respond to support requests and resolve technical issues.
3. Third-Party Services
LoadScan uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase: Cloud database and authentication platform that stores your account data and business records. Data is stored on servers in the United States. Supabase Privacy Policy.
- OpenAI: AI service used to identify appliance products from model numbers and sticker images. Images and model numbers are sent to OpenAI for processing and are not used to train OpenAI models. OpenAI Privacy Policy.
- Apple Sign In: Optional authentication method. If you use Sign In with Apple, Apple may provide your name and email address. Apple Privacy Policy.
- Apple App Store: Subscription and payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not store or process payment card information.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may disclose your information only in the following circumstances:
- Within your organization: If you are part of an enterprise team, manifest data may be visible to other members of your organization.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or government request.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- Protection of rights: To protect the rights, property, or safety of LoadScan, our users, or the public.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@load-scan.com. Deleted data is removed from active systems within 30 days, though backup copies may persist for up to 90 days.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), row-level security on database access, and secure token-based authentication. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
LoadScan is intended for use by businesses and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and data.
- Opt out of non-essential communications.
- Export your manifest data at any time via the CSV export feature.
